What a residential move with us includes

We pack, wrap, load, move, unload and unpack. You do not lift a box. This suits people who are working through the move, families with young children, and anyone on a tight closing date.
Move only
You pack, we do everything else. The most common choice, and the cheapest way to use a professional crew. Have your boxes sealed and labelled by the morning of the move and the whole thing goes faster.
Labor only

Moving in Rochester, specifically
A few things about this city change how a move runs, and a crew that works here every week already knows them.

Fragile only
You do the books and the linen, we do the glassware, mirrors, artwork and the television. The cheapest way to get professional packing where it actually matters.
Unpacking is available as well, either the whole house or just enough to make the kitchen usable on the first night.
What we need from you
- A confirmed date and both addresses, as early as you have them. Dates move, and we would rather move with you than lose the slot.
- Access details at both ends: parking, lift or stairs, gate codes, and a contact for the building manager if there is one.
- A heads up about anything unusual. A piano, a gun safe, a fish tank, a chest freezer, a very large television. None of these are a problem. All of them are a problem if we find out on the day.
- Anything you are not taking, in one room, clearly marked.
- Somewhere the crew can park. It sounds minor and it saves more money than anything else on this list.

Do you move on the same day I close?
Often, yes, and it is very common here. The risk is that a closing runs late and the truck is sitting loaded with nowhere to go. We can hold your belongings overnight so a delayed closing does not become a crisis.
Can you move my piano or gun safe?
Yes, but it is priced separately from the hourly rate because it needs different equipment. Tell us at the estimate rather than on the day.
Do I need to be there?
Someone does, at both ends, to let us in and to say where things go. It does not have to be you.
