Joe’s Moving Co. pack homes and offices across Rochester, NY. The whole house, a single kitchen, or just the things you would rather not wrap yourself, with all the materials supplied.
Packing is the part of a move people most often underestimate. A three bedroom house is somewhere between 60 and 100 boxes, and doing it properly takes most people a week of evenings and a weekend they were planning to spend elsewhere.

Packing is quoted separately from the move itself, and most people book the two together. Residential moving
Everything, either the day before the move or on the morning of it. Kitchens, wardrobes, lofts, the garage, the shed. You do not touch a box. Right for anyone working through the move, families with young children, or a tight closing date.
The rooms you would rather not deal with. Nine times out of ten that is the kitchen, because glass and crockery take the longest and break the easiest. Often the loft or the basement too.
You do the books, the linen and the clothes. We do the glassware, the mirrors, the artwork and the television. The cheapest way to get professional packing exactly where it matters.
Some of this is regulation and some of it is experience. Either way it is better said now than discovered on the day.
Anything flammable or pressurised: propane tanks, gasoline, kerosene, paint, aerosols, cleaning chemicals, fireworks. Drain fuel from mowers and trimmers before the day.
Perishable food, and anything in an open container. Freezer contents in particular do not travel.
Live plants and animals. A truck gets very hot and very cold, and neither survives it well.
Cash, jewellery, prescriptions, passports and important documents. Carry these yourself. It is not that we will not take them, it is that you should never have to wonder which box they are in.
Plus the villages between them.
For a small home, yes. For anything from two bedrooms up we would normally pack the day before, so the crew arrives on moving day to a house that is ready and the clock is not running while we wrap plates.
Yes, although the usual request is not the whole house but enough to make the kitchen and one bedroom usable on the first night.
Professionally packed items are treated differently from owner packed ones, which matters if there is ever a claim.
Tell us how many rooms and what is in them. We will tell you what it costs and how long it takes.
