Businesses we move

The move happens when you are closed

The cost of an office move is not the invoice, it is the days you cannot trade. So the default is that we move you outside business hours.

Evenings

Smaller offices, moved across one or two nights. Staff leave one building on Tuesday and arrive at the other on Wednesday.

Weekends

The most common option. You close Friday in one building and open Monday in the other, with the whole move run across Saturday and Sunday.

Phased

For larger moves, department by department across several nights, so no team is ever fully down and the business keeps trading throughout.

IT, copiers and the things people worry about

We move the hardware. We do not disconnect or reconnect networks, which stays with your IT provider, and we coordinate with them on timing.

Monitors, docks and desk equipment are crated and labelled per desk, so they go back to the same person.

Insurance and building requirements

Most managed buildings in downtown Rochester will not let a moving crew past the lobby without a certificate of insurance naming the building owner and manager as additional insured. We issue these routinely.

Furniture disposal

Most offices do not take everything with them. We remove and dispose of unwanted furniture.

What your staff need to do

Where we work

Downtown, the East End, the tech park and the industrial estates on the western side of the city.

Questions from office managers

How much notice do you need for an office move?

Four to six weeks for a typical office, because the constraint is usually the building, not us. Lift bookings, dock access and out of hours permissions take longer to arrange than the move takes to run.

Yes, and it is the most common way we do it.

Desk contents, yes, into crates we supply. It is faster and it means nobody loses anything. Everything else, furniture, storage, shared areas and the kitchen, is ours.

Yes, naming whoever the building requires. Send us the building’s requirements and we will match them.

Close on Friday. Open on Monday.
